SlowProg Art is an experiment to introduce motion art as a means of relaxation in the fast pace of modern life. Motion art is a wide concept, including motion pictures, motion suggestions in paintings, animations and motion graphics.
The SlowProg apps are probably closest to motion graphics, but also resembles animation. Being programmed sequences of computer instructions suggest simple repetition, but this is not the case: the use of random values produces images of almost infinite variation.
The idea of relaxation requires an extremly simple user interface, and this also is the design principle applied.
Inspired by single, slow raindrops on the window, this app shows an evolving pattern of circles. Watch the image slowly change and think of the healing silence of nature. The motion art is meant to give a moment of relaxation.
The app has no requirements of permissions, and is very easy to use

A kaleidoscope was a mechanical device, equipped with mirrors arranged to show symmetrical patterns from colored glass beads. The Kaleido app has no mechanical parts, but still shows symmetrical patterns. Watching the beauty of the slowly changing patterns gives a moment of relaxation.
